DSWD Recognized the services of Precious Heritage Ministries Foundation
MANILA, June 22 (PNA) -- Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Corazon "Dinky" Juliano-Soliman said that the agency has granted three non-government organizations (NGOs) with certificates of registration and licenses to operate.
Awarded were Precious Heritage Ministries Foundation, Inc.; Cullion Foundation, Inc.; and Children’s Hour Philippines, Inc.
Soliman said that Precious Heritage is a social welfare agency which implements both residential-based and community-based programs and services. The foundation serves children, indigent individuals, families and communities in regions IV-A, IV-B, XII and National Capital Region.
Meanwhile, Cullion Foundation, an auxiliary social welfare and development agency, operates as a resource agency that provides financial support to various partners for the benefit of disadvantaged children, youth, families and communities in regions IV-B, CARAGA and NCR.
It also undertakes fund support, technical assistance and capability building activities and medical missions.
Children’s Hour, on the other hand, is an auxiliary of SWDA that operates as a resource agency in regions IV-A, V, VI, VII, VIII, XI, XII and NCR. The agency supports education, community outreach, foster care, as well as health and nutrition programs and projects.
The DSWD is mandated to regulate the operations of public and private agencies and organizations engaged in social welfare and development activities, including fund drives and other forms of solicitation for public welfare purposes. (PNA)
